It's my mother, Lalitaben and my grand mother, Laxshmiben who's food that I grew up eating.
I've always loved that Gujarati food and I wanted to share that with others.
In 2005 we invited friends to a meal that my mother and I cooked.
Everyone loved the food and this led on to us setting up a stall in Hacney on Broadway Market That's how Gujarati Rasoi began...
We honor the tradition of cooking recipes passed down through generations, rooted in my mother’s and grandmother’s methods. Staying true to their process ensures our food remains as authentic as it was a century ago in our ancestral village. Though we now cook in larger quantities, We remain dedicated to using fresh ingredients, traditional methods, and making everything from scratch in small batches.

“I loved Gujarati Rasoi — from the mother and son Lalita and Urvesh Parvais — when they started out at Broadway Market in east London. They’ve managed to make the food that arrives via courier every bit as electrifyingly good as it was in the restaurant.
